UPDATE: Chapel Hill Police shared an alert Monday night at 7:10 p.m. saying Kaydin Shelton was safely located.
The Chapel Hill Police Department alerted the public to its search for a teenager reported missing on Sunday, and asked for help in locating the young woman.
A release by police shared at 10:09 p.m. said they are seeking 15-year-old Kaydin Shelton, who was last seen on Friday evening in the area of Formosa Lane — the main road of the Greenfield Place housing community off Legion Road in Chapel Hill.

Shelton is described as 5-foot-2 and weighing around 180 pounds. She has dark brown hair and green eyes, and was reportedly last seen wearing a black shirt with pink letters, black shorts and a pink backpack.
