****UPDATE: The Town of Chapel Hill said Eloise Shaw has been located and is safe in her home.****

The Chapel Hill Police Department is seeking assistance in locating a missing woman.

The department shared a release early Friday morning saying its searching for Eloise Shaw, a 76 year-old black female, who was last seen on Thursday, April 9, at 6:34 p.m. The report said Shaw was seen leaving a business at 1350 Raleigh Road in Chapel Hill.

Chapel Hill Police described Shaw as approximately 5’ 4” and weighing 100 pounds. She has brown eyes with black and gray hair. The report described her as last seen wearing a red shirt, read pants, colorful hat and utilizing a mobility walker.

Anyone who has seen Eloise Shaw or have any information about her whereabouts is encouraged to call 911 or the Orange County Communications Center at 919-732-5063.
