Power Restored in Carrboro

****UPDATE: Duke Energy is reporting that most outages have been restored. The utility is reporting that 50 customers are without power as of 6:16 p.m. due to damage to company equipment. Duke is estimating the power will be restored by 10:45 p.m.****

Duke Energy is reporting that 2,062 customers are without power in Carrboro on Thursday afternoon.

The utility is reporting the outage is centered near Carrboro Plaza. The outage was first reported around 12:40 p.m. Thursday.

Crews were en route to the scene, as of Duke’s update around 4 p.m. The outage is expected to be restored around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
