Brandon Sharp & Ron Stutts
This week on “This is Tourism,” join WCHL’s Ron Stutts for a fun-filled conversation with Brandon Sharp — the chef-owner of Hawthorne & Wood who grew up in Greensboro, graduated from UNC-CH, and came home after two decades cooking across the United States to start a new kind of fine-dining establishment in Chapel Hill.
Right across from Glen Lennox, Hawthorne & Wood takes its inspiration from Sharp’s former employment as a Michelin-starred executive chef in California and experience cooking everywhere from New Orleans to San Francisco to create something entirely his own — right here at home. Hawthorne & Wood offers guests outdoor patio seating, a private dining room for special occasions, a fully-stocked bar and an extensive international wine list.
Listen below for the full conversation with Sharp, and tune in next week for another excursion to some of the best things our community has to offer!
