The Town of Carrboro is hosting a special and unique event on October 8. Different makes and models of electric vehicles will be showcased at the Carrboro Town Commons, in what the town is billing as an “EV Rodeo.” The event is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is sponsored by Climate Reality Orange County, the Triad Electric Vehicle Association of North Carolina and the Town of Carrboro.
Chevy Volts and Bolts, Kia EV6s, Nissan Leafs, Teslas and more will be on display. The owners of the vehicles will share various facts about them, including mileage ranges, charging options, costs and more. E-bikes and e-motorcycles will also be on display.
A veggie-mobile race for kids, in which participants build their own e-vehicles, will also be part of the festivities.
