The Chapel Hill Police Department said it is searching for the suspect in a late Saturday shooting that left one man injured.

In the Sunday morning release, the department said it responded to reports of a shooting at the Rise Chapel Hill apartment complex at 200 Westminster Drive just before midnight on Saturday. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with gunshot wounds who was transported to a hospital.

Investigators determined someone shot the victim in a breezeway and then left the area,” the release read. “Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and they are working to identify a suspect.”

As of 9:25 a.m. Sunday, the victim’s condition is unknown, and the police department does not have any additional information.
