The Hillsborough Police Department is seeking information on a series of motor vehicle break-ins which occurred early on Thursday morning.
Officers say a group of individuals came into town in a stolen vehicle and broke into multiple vehicles, mainly in the Beckett’s Ridge, Pinewood Station and Waterstone neighborhoods. Police say the individuals also entered a residence through an open garage door and stole person property, including car keys which were then used to steal two other vehicles. One of the vehicles has since been recovered.
Police are asking residents of the three neighborhoods with camera systems to check for footage of the individuals around their homes between 1:30 and 4:30 a.m. Residents are also being advised to remove valuables from their vehicles and to secure their homes before going to bed.
Police encourage anyone with information to contact Investigator Andrew Jones at 919-296-9562 or by email here. Anonymous tips can be called in at 919-296-9555 or by using the See it, Say it, Send it app and website.
