UPDATE: On Friday, May 24, Hillsborough Police confirmed authorities apprehended all remaining suspects in this case.

Hillsborough Police recently arrested two suspects in connection to a shooting at an apartment complex on May 2, but have issued arrest warrants for four other suspects in the case.

A release from the department on Friday said investigators determined that the shooting at Gateway Village Apartments near Old NC 86 was “the result of a drug transaction that turned into an armed robbery.” At the time, police said one unidentified person fired a round of gunshots at a group of people sitting in another vehicle near the 200 building of the apartment complex. The gunfire injured two people in the car, with the victims then leaving the scene and being found by sheriff’s deputies at the Timber Manufactured Home Community off Orange Grove Road.

Hillsborough Police said a 17-year-old juvenile suspect is in custody facing four counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a minor and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Additionally, 20-year-old Destiny Stovall of Timberlake was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and accessory after the fact to attempted murder. Friday’s release said Stovall is currently out of police custody on a $75,000 bond.

Investigators are now seeking the arrest of four additional people on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. Hillsborough Police are searching for 28-year-old Alfred Benton of Burlington, 24-year-old Colton Tilley of Burlington, 24-year-old Kellie Kincy of Rougemont and 18-year-old Micah Downey of Mebane. Downey and Kincy face additional charges, according to police.
