The Hillsborough Police Department is investigating a case where multiple gunshots were fired into an occupied home early on Thursday morning.

A release from the town said police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Central Avenue, which is in northern Hillsborough. Upon arrival to 526 Central Avenue, investigators found the home sustained damage from “multiple gunshots” and was occupied at the time of the shooting.

According to the alert, Hillsborough Police reported no one was injured during the gunfire. The department added the incident appears to be isolated.

Thursday’s release said anyone who may have more information about the shooting is encouraged to contact Sgt.
