Chapel Hill authorities are investigating a reported armed robbery that took place on Monday in the 7100 block of Drew Hill Lane at the Notting Hill Apartments.

Police responded at 9:07 p.m. after three victims reported being approached by two males, each with a handgun. The victims said the suspects were wearing a red hoodie and a black hoodie, each wearing a white mask over their faces, and appeared to be in their early 20s.

The suspects took the wallet, cash, and cellphone of one of the victims and fled on foot. Chapel Hill Police said the investigation is ongoing. No additional information is currently available.

Earlier on Monday, Chapel Hill Police made an arrest in connection with a trio of armed robberies that occurred near UNC’s campus over the weekend. 19-year-old David Nic Cripezzi faces charges of aid and abet armed robbery, as well as accessory before the fact to a felony, related to incidents reported in downtown Chapel Hill.

Authorities encourage anyone with knowledge of these crimes or the people suspected in the robberies to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515.

Calls of information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, while anonymous online tips can be left at the Crime Stoppers website.
