Two men robbed a gas station off a popular Chapel Hill road early Friday morning, according to police.

A release from the Chapel Hill Police Department said officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at 1213 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. Early details from its investigation indicate two men robbed the business — a Speedway convenience store and gas station — at gunpoint. No injuries were reported to police.

The department’s release said investigators are working to identify the suspects, although no details or descriptions were shared. Police said no other information is public as of Friday morning.

Chapel Hill Police are encouraging anyone with information about the armed robbery to call 911 or contact the police department directly (919-968-2760).
