Carrboro Police say no one was injured in a shooting that took place overnight.

Residents at the Crest Apartments located off of Highway 54 reported hearing gunshots early Friday morning.

Carrboro Police Captain Chris Atack confirmed the shooting on Friday and said that an investigation is underway.

Atack said there were no injuries reported but three unoccupied vehicles were damaged by bullets.

There is no further information available at this time as to any motive or suspects in the shooting.
