Entering the final month of the regular season, UNC continues to look like a prime contender to earn a national seed in the NCAA baseball tournament.

Despite splitting their four games this past week, the Tar Heels held steady at No. 4 in this week’s D1Baseball.com Top 25.

Head coach Mike Fox’s squad won its seventh consecutive ACC series over the weekend by taking two out of three in Pittsburgh, while stretching its lead in the league’s Coastal Division to four games over No. 14 Virginia.

Oregon State, which has lost just three games all season, remained at No. 1 yet again, while ACC Atlantic Division powerhouses Louisville and Clemson kept their spots at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.

TCU checks in just behind the Tar Heels to round out the top five.

The ACC again has five schools in the top 25, with No. 21 Wake Forest rounding out the league’s selections.

Only the SEC–with seven–has more squads among the poll.

UNC will attempt to keep its winning ways going this week, with five games at Boshamer Stadium. The Tar Heels will host Elon on Tuesday and Campbell on Wednesday–before taking on Clemson over the weekend in a three-game series between a pair of top five teams.
