Life as a professional has been quite nice so far for former UNC men’s lacrosse standout Chris Cloutier, who was named the Offensive Player of the Week in Major League Lacrosse after his first career game.
Cloutier scored six goals and dished out two assists this past Saturday to help lead his Denver Outlaws to a 17-13 win over the previously undefeated Charlotte Hounds.
This performance comes not long after the Outlaws selected Cloutier in the fourth round (29th overall) in the MLL Draft–following a senior season at UNC where he tallied 31 goals and 10 assists.
He becomes the second former Tar Heel to earn the Offensive Player of the Week honor this season in the MLL, joining Class of 2013 star Marcus Holman–who won the award two weeks ago.
