The top-ranked UNC women’s tennis continued its winning ways on Friday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, defeating the Notre Dame Fighting Irish by a score of 6-1.

After nearly dropping the doubles point for the first time all season, the Tar Heels (15-1, 3-0 ACC) responded by posting a dominant showing in the singles portion of the match.

Cameron Morra (6-1, 6-0), Makenna Jones (6-1, 6-1) and Alle Sanford (6-1, 6-3) each picked up easy victories in straight sets to clinch the overall team win for UNC.

With the outcome already decided, the Tar Heels got two more wins from Jessie Aney (6-3, 6-1) and Alexa Graham (6-3, 7-6).

Up Next:

UNC will now move on to face Louisville at home on Sunday at 1 p.m.
