
The top-ranked UNC women’s tennis team wrapped up its regular season with a perfect record at home on Friday afternoon, defeating Wake Forest by a score of 7-0.
With the win, the Tar Heels end the regular season 23-0 and extended their program record to 41 consecutive dual match victories overall.
UNC won the doubles point to begin the match, then clinched the team win with consecutive singles victories from Fiona Crawley (6-0, 6-1), Makenna Jones (6-3, 6-0) and Reilly Tran (6-2, 6-3).
The Tar Heels also won the remaining three singles matches to complete the clean sweep of both the match and the season.
This also marks the seventh time in program history that UNC has gone undefeated inside the ACC, finishing 13-0 inside the conference.

UNC is the top seed for next week’s ACC Championships in Rome, Georgia. The Tar Heels will begin play in the quarterfinals Friday, Apr. 23 at 1 p.m.
