A total of three Tar Heels were named to the All-ACC women’s basketball rosters on Monday, led by First Team selection Janelle Bailey–a junior forward from Matthews, North Carolina.

Joining Bailey were senior guard Taylor Koenen–an honorable mention–and Malu Tshitenge, a forward on the All-ACC Freshman Team.

Bailey led the Tar Heels in both scoring and rebounding at 14.9 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, as she earned her third consecutive All-ACC selection.

Koenen posted a career-high 14.6 points per game in her final season, as she earned All-ACC recognition for the first time.

Tshitenge, meanwhile, had a fantastic year in her first collegiate campaign. The freshman tallied 10.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

“We’re all proud of Janelle, Taylor and Malu for these great honors,” UNC head coach Courtney Banghart said. “It’s certainly a big deal to be recognized as one of the top players in a conference like the ACC. The ACC talent pool is so deep and they’ve all worked really hard to distinguish themselves.”
