UNC junior volleyball standout Destiny Cox announced via Instagram this past weekend that she is transferring to Texas A&M.
Cox–a 6-foot-1-inch outside hitter–was second on the team this season with 83 kills, as the Tar Heels went 6-2 in a season shortened by COVID-19.
An Under Armour Third-Team All-American selection as a senior at Carrboro High School, Cox made an immediate impact at UNC–leading the team with 290 kills in 2018 as a freshman.
In 2019, Cox was third on the team with 146 kills–a number just 20 behind team leader Skyler Wine’s 166.
