Struggles continue to pile up for the UNC volleyball team, which lost 3-0 (16-25, 12-25, 22-25) at home on Sunday afternoon to the Virginia Cavaliers.

It represents the fifth loss in a row for the Tar Heels (5-12, 1-7 ACC), who have also been on the wrong end of the scoreboard in seven of their past eight outings.

Hadden LaGarde’s six kills led the way offensively for UNC, but they would be nowhere near enough to get the job done as Virginia (6-12, 2-6 ACC) became the third straight Tar Heel opponent to post a hitting percentage above 30.

The Tar Heels made 19 errors in the three-set match, while only posing a serious challenge to the Cavaliers in the third, and final, set.
