Behind a game-high 22 kills from sophomore outside hitter Parker Austin on Saturday at Carmichael Arena, the UNC volleyball team cruised to a 3-1 victory (25-20, 25-15, 23-25, 25-20) over the Virginia Cavaliers.

In addition to Austin’s outstanding performance, UNC (5-2) also got 10 kills apiece from Destiny Cox and Aziah Bucker.

The Tar Heels were dominant offensively, posting a season-best .312 hitting percentage while holding the Cavaliers (1-7) to a .197 mark in the same category.

Virginia battled hard enough to win the third set, but was unable to overcome the early deficit.
