Sunday’s fall season finale at Carmichael Arena saw the UNC volleyball team wrap its year up with a 3-1 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers (25-20, 22-25, 26-17, 25-23) for the second consecutive day.
The Tar Heels received a team-high 16 kills from sophomore Carly Peck, as they finish competing in 2020 with a 6-2 record.
Aziah Buckner added 14 kills to the winning cause, while Destiny Cox also reached double figures with 10.
As a team, UNC posted a hitting percentage of .252 compared to a .190 mark for Virginia–which dropped to 1-8 with the loss.
The Tar Heels also set a season-high with nine aces as they won each of the final two sets to seal the victory.

The Tar Heels finish the fall tied for first in the ACC region, and will resume their season in January.
