In a match that contained 38 ties and 16 lead changes, the UNC volleyball team came up short in a 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 23-25, 22-25) loss on the road against the Louisville Cardinals.

The Tar Heels won the first set to take control of the proceedings, but were unable to pick up the big points at the end of each of the next three sets–falling to 3-9 this season as a result, including an 0-2 record in ACC play.

Louisville improved to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference with the victory.

Lauren Harrison led the Tar Heel effort with a career-high 19 kills, while Mia Fradenburg also set a new career best with 25 digs.

The hitting percentage numbers–which have typically spelled doom for UNC–were much more even in this match. The Tar Heels finished at .153 and the Cardinals ended the day at .147.
