The UNC men’s lacrosse team released its 2018 regular season schedule on Thursday, as it looks to rebound from missing both the ACC and NCAA Tournaments last season.

Following a pair of January scrimmages against Jacksonville and Loyola, the Tar Heels will open their season on Feb. 2 against Mercer at Centennial High School in Atlanta.

From there, UNC will have six consecutive non-conference games at home against: Furman (Feb. 9), Harvard (Feb. 16), Johns Hopkins (Feb. 23), Denver (March 2), Marist (March 8) and Bucknell (March 12).

A road trip to Baltimore to face Cleveland State in a neutral site game on March 17 is next on the docket, as a tune-up before a showdown in College Park against Maryland–a team that UNC defeated in the 2016 NCAA Championship Game.

ACC play begins on March 30 at home against Duke and continues with a trip to Charlottesville on Apr. 6 to face Virginia.

The final two games of the season are in Chapel Hill against Syracuse (Apr. 13) and on the road at Notre Dame (Apr. 20).

UNC is ranked No. 16 in this year’s Face/Off Yearbook preseason poll, and will also host the ACC Tournament.
