
The UNC men’s lacrosse team revealed its schedule for the upcoming 2020 regular season this past weekend, with the Tar Heels slated to play seven of their 15 games against teams who qualified for last year’s NCAA Tournament.
To start the season, UNC will play three straight games in Chapel Hill at Dorrance Field against Colgate (Feb. 1), Mercer (Feb. 8) and Lafayette (Feb. 15).
From there, the schedule heats up with a pair of road battles against perennial contenders Johns Hopkins (Feb. 22) and Denver (Mar. 1) before the Tar Heels head down south to take on Furman (Mar. 6).
Following the three-game road trip, UNC returns home for four consecutive games–beginning with a matchup against Bryant on March 10. After that game, the Tar Heels are scheduled to host Georgetown (Mar. 14), Dartmouth (Mar. 17) and Maryland (Mar. 21).
Conference play begins in Durham for UNC, when it travels to take on Duke in a rivalry showdown on March 26.
Next on the docket is a home date against Virginia on April 2, with a trip to Syracuse to follow on April 11.
The regular season concludes in Chapel Hill against Notre Dame on April 18.
This year’s ACC Tournament is scheduled to run the weekend of April 24.
