A deal was announced Thursday that will pit UNC against Auburn in the 2020 Chick-Fil-A College Football Kickoff event–which will feature three games at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta between Sept. 5 and Sept. 12.
The Tar Heels and Tigers will play on Sept. 12 in a game that will be the first meeting between the two schools since UNC defeated Auburn 16-10 in the 2001 Peach Bowl.
West Virginia will take on Florida State on Sept. 5 to begin the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff, while Georgia and Virginia are scheduled to play on Sept. 7.
