The 17th-ranked UNC wrestling team rolled to an easy 35-6 victory on the road Friday night against Little Rock, as the Tar Heels won bonus points in five of the dual’s 10 total matches.

Clay Lautt and Joey Mazzara picked up back-to-back pins at 174 and 184 pounds, while Austin O’Connor (149 pounds) and Kennedy Monday (165) each won their matches by major decision to help guide UNC to the victory.

In addition, the Tar Heels also received six points when Little Rock was forced to forfeit at heavyweight–which was the final bout of the evening.

Little Rock actually got out to a 6-0 lead in the team score by winning the first two matches of the dual at 125 and 133 pounds, but UNC responded by winning each of the final eight contests.

As a result, UNC improves to 3-1 this season in dual competition.
