The top-ranked UNC women’s tennis team remained undefeated in 2020 with a 6-1 win over No. 13 Virginia on Friday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill.
With former Tar Heels in attendance for Alumni Day, the current group of Tar Heels put on a dominant display to improve to 15-0 so far this season while improving its record against ACC opponents to 3-0.
UNC won the doubles point to start the match, then got singles victories from Sara Daavettila (6-2, 6-3), Cameron Morra (6-3, 6-4), Alle Sanford (6-2, 6-4), Anika Yarlagaada (7-5, 4-6, 1-0) and Makenna Jones (6-2, 6-7, 1-0) to finish off the victory.

The Tar Heels will look to go 16-0 on Sunday, when they host Virginia Tech at 11 a.m.
