UNC senior tailback Michael Carter was among those listed Thursday on the watch list for this year’s Hornung Award, which is given out each year to the most versatile player in college football.

Carter led the Tar Heels and ranked fourth in the ACC last season with 1,623 all-purpose yards. Of that yardage total, he had a career-high 1,003 on the ground, 154 receiving and 466 in the return game.

His efforts in 2019 landed him a Third Team All-ACC nod at running back and an honorable mention selection as an all-purpose player.
