The final Oracle/ITA men’s tennis rankings were released Sunday, with UNC wrapping up the 2018 campaign ranked No. 6 in the country.
It marks the fourth time in the last five years that the Tar Heels have finished among the top seven teams in the nation, as head coach Sam Paul’s program has developed into quite the powerhouse.
This season saw UNC go 24-6 in duals matches as a team, before having its season ended in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 by USC.
Sophomore sensation William Blumberg also ended the year as the No. 2 ranked singles player, while he and teammate Robert Kelly were ranked No. 3 as a doubles pairing.
