As the UNC men’s soccer team gets set to take on Indiana in the College Cup Semifinals on Friday, it was announced Thursday that sophomore midfielder Cam Lindley and senior forward Alan Winn were each named All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches Association.

Lindley was one of three underclassmen to earn a First Team All-American selection, while Winn was placed on the Second Team.

UNC has posted a 17-3-1 record to this point in the season, with Lindley tallying seven goals and a team-high 13 assists–the most by a Tar Heel since 2002.

This comes after a breakout freshman campaign in 2016 where Lindley was named a Second Team All-American.

Winn, meanwhile, has appeared in just 16 games but leads the team–and ranks fourth in the ACC–with 11 goals this year.

It’s the first All-American honor of Winn’s career.

Head coach Carlos Somoano has now had 14 All-American selections by 11 different players during his seven years at the helm in Chapel Hill.
