The field of 30 semifinalists for this year’s Senior CLASS Award in men’s soccer was trimmed down to 10 finalists this past week, with UNC’s Mauricio Pineda and Jack Skahan each making the cut.

Eligibility for the award requires student-athletes to be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

Both Pineda and Skahan have been All-ACC performers for the Tar Heels during their careers, while also taking care of business of the field at a high level as well.

Finalists were chosen by a selection committee from the list of 30 men’s candidates and 30 women’s candidates announced in September.

The winner will be determined by a combination of voting by fans, media and Division I head coaches. Fans can vote here at the Senior CLASS Award website.
