UNC senior forward Luke Maye was among 25 players named Thursday to the midseason watch list for the prestigious John R. Wooden Award, which is given annually to the top player in the nation.
The list was decided upon by a poll of national college basketball experts based on performances during the first half of the season.
Maye has posted averages of 15 points and 9.9 rebounds per game so far for the Tar Heels.
