The American Baseball Coaches Association–in partnership with Rawlings Sporting Goods–released their 2018 All-American teams on Saturday, with UNC junior third baseman Kyle Datres earning a Third Team selection.

Datres leads the Tar Heels in a number of offensive categories this season, including batting average (.344), hits (86), doubles (15) and stolen bases (12). The Pennsylvania native is also second on the team in runs scored (65).

A 12th round draft pick (366th overall) by the Colorado Rockies in last week’s MLB Draft, Datres is also one of 10 players still alive in the College World Series to be named to the All-American teams.
