The UNC women’s tennis team will have five players representing the Tar Heels in the upcoming NCAA Division I Singles and Doubles Tournaments, which will be held in Winston Salem from May 23-28.

Sophomore Makenna Jones–the MVP of last week’s ACC Tournamnet–earned the No. 2 overall seed in the singles draw, while Sara Daavettila and Alle Sanford were each granted at-large bids into the 64-player field.

On the doubles side, the team of Jessie Aney and Alexa Graham received the No. 2 overall seed in a field consisting of the nation’s 32 best teams.

The Tar Heels are also the No. 2 overall seed for the team tournament scheduled to begin on May 11 with a first-round match against Campbell.
