This week’s Hometown Heroes, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, are Lynn Lehmann, Stephanie Yost, and Greg Overbeck!
Lynn and Stephanie are from the Public School Foundation, an independent, non-profit organization that is dedicated to mobilizing community support for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. Greg is from the Chapel Hill Restaurant Group, the owners of several restaurants in the Chapel Hill area, such as Squid’s, which hosted the Teacher’s First Breakfast for the fifteenth year in a row.
These three helped organize and host the Teacher’s First Breakfast, a fundraising event that raised money and gave free breakfast to teachers in the local area.
“This year’s breakfast alone has raised $105,000 and we are so grateful to the Chapel Hill Restaurant Group for supporting us for 15 years. $105,000 in one year, almost three quarters of a million dollars in 15 years. It’s incredible” – Stephanie Yost
