UNC freshman forward Janelle Bailey was recognized Tuesday as the ACC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, marking the fourth time she has earned the award this season.

The Tar Heels (10-4) lost a pair of games to Mercer and No. 13 Florida State this past week, but Bailey averaged 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in those contests–despite playing an average of just over 22.5 minutes.

Bailey also shot 61 percent from the floor this past week, as she continues to establish herself as one of the most imposing frontcourt presences in the conference.

Florida State guard Imani Wright–who scored 39 points in the Seminoles’ win over UNC on Sunday–was named the ACC’s Co-Player of the week alongside Louisville guard Asia Derr.

Bailey and UNC will resume conference play on Thursday against Boston College.
