A car crash Monday morning at a popular Chapel Hill intersection led to some traffic delays.

Local EMS vehicles, Chapel Hill Police Department officers and Chapel Hill Fire Department crews responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Estes Drive and Franklin Street shortly after 9 a.m.

Traffic was delayed and detoured around parts of the intersection during the response, as one car stayed parked in the crosswalk while the other vehicle pulled off to the side of South Estes Drive.

According to local traffic maps, both vehicles and debris from the crash were cleared about an hour later. The intersection reopened to a normal traffic pattern.
