A fallen tree caused by high winds and rain fell and killed a Chapel Hill mobile home park resident on Sunday.

A release from the Town of Chapel Hill said members of its police and fire departments responded to a call of a fallen tree on a unit at the Tar Heel Mobile Court just before 5 p.m. on Sunday. The mobile home park, located at 1208 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, experienced strong wind and rain as a storm cell passed through the town.

Grijalva Revolorio Abel, 47, of Chapel Hill was pronounced dead at the scene after being found in the home upon which the tree fell, according to the release.

The Town of Chapel Hill said no additional information is available at the time. More thunderstorms are forecasted for the area on Sunday night.
