UPDATE: The Chapel Hill Police Department said that as of 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, Michael Brandon Williams has been safely located.

The Chapel Hill Police Department said in a release Tuesday morning that they’re seeking a missing Chatham County man.

Michael Brandon Williams, 31, of Pittsboro, was last seen around 8:30 a.m. Monday near the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. He is 5 feet 9 inches, weighs roughly 240 pounds, and was last seen in a blue polo shirt and khaki shorts.

Investigators say they have concerns about Williams’ mental health status and are urging community members who may have seen Williams to contact them.
