The Chapel Hill Police Department is turning to the public for help in locating a community member.

A release on Wednesday night said 32-year-old Stephanie Knuckles was reported missing after last being seen around 2:30 p.m. Her last known location before being reported missing was in the 100 Block of Melville Loop — which is part of the Sagebrook of Chapel Hill apartment community off of U.S. 15-501.

Police described Knuckles as 5-foot-6 tall and weighing around 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a purple sweatshirt and gray Sketchers shoes. In a photo provided by Chapel Hill Police, Knuckles also has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. There are two recognizable tattoos on Knuckles, according to police: a wrist tattoo of a beaded bracelet with a heart on it and a tattoo of a blue dragon on the back of her neck.
