The Town of Carrboro said it will reopen its park facilities on Wednesday.
The town shared a release with the announcement, saying the facilities will remain open until further notice while some park amenities will still be unavailable:
The Town of Carrboro understands the need to get outside and get some fresh air during this difficult time. At this time, all Town of Carrboro park facilities ARE OPEN until further notice. The park amenities are closed and the playground equipment is roped off with caution tape. We still are encouraging social distancing and to please keep at least 6 feet of distance between you and others. It’s okay to wave and say hello but please remember some of us are more vulnerable and we should all take precautions to flatten the curve when it comes to the Coronavirus.
The release said department programs, events, reservations, and meetings are remaining canceled. Additionally, the following special events have been canceled: Carrboro Kite Fly, Carrboro Community Egg Hunt, Flashlight Egg Hunt, Carrboro Open Streets, Carrboro Day, Carrboro Bazaar and CD & Record Show.
