Durham Police have made an arrest in a Saturday bank robbery.

Police say 45-year-old Michael Hugh Wood was taken into custody on Saturday night after allegedly robbing the PNC Bank on North Roxboro Street shortly after 10 o’clock that morning.

Authorities say no weapon was seen during the robbery as Wood purportedly gave a teller a note demanding money.

The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of case.

Wood was arrested on North Driver Street in Durham. He has been charged with one count of common-law robbery in connection with the bank robbery. Police say he is also wanted on charges in Wake County.
