Authorities are investigating a breaking and entering in Orange County where the victim was home during a reported robbery.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office officials said in an email that deputies responded to a breaking and entering in progress at a home on Moorefields Road outside Hillsborough.
The victim told authorities that two suspects “held them down on their bed and took a gun from underneath the bed,” according to the email. The suspects also took the victim’s wallet, according to law enforcement.
The victim told authorities that the suspects were wearing masks and had flashlights.
The suspects also took a gold 1998 Lincoln Continental from the victim’s residence. Authorities say the vehicle has a AAA sticker on the bumper and the gas cover is missing. The license plate of the stolen vehicle is WPP-1804.
