Orange Chapel United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill reported a break-in to one of its building on Monday. While most items, including those used for services, went untouched, just one item was reported as stolen.
The church near Old Greensboro Road listed a Keurig coffee machine as the sole item taken out of its back building, according to the Community Watch Daily Report by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office says investigators believe the break-in and larceny are the result of an isolated, random incident. The Community Watch report says DNA and fingerprints were collected from the church’s property to aid the case.
Anyone who may have information about the break-in at the Orange Chapel United Methodist Church is encouraged to call Orange County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Zach Baldwin at 919-245-2939.
