Chatham County authorities are looking for an “armed and dangerous” suspect following a shooting on Tuesday.

Officials say Chatham County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a shooting around 11:20 Tuesday morning on Charlie Brooks Road in Moncure.

Deputies found a male victim that had been shot, according to a release. The victim was transported to the hospital.

The suspect fled the scene in a light blue Honda Accord, according to law enforcement, which has front-end damage.

Officials say they are looking for Angel Soto in connection with the shooting. Authorities describe Soto as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’ 2” tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. Soto has brown hair and brown eyes, according to law enforcement.

Soto may be accompanied by Kassidy Lowe, according to officials who describe Lowe as a white female, approximately 5’ 8” tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
