
UPDATE: Carrboro Police shared an update on Monday, August 7 identifying the victim as 50-year-old Kenneth Michael Moseley of Durham. The department said its investigation into the stabbing is still ongoing.
Additionally, a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for Moseley’s family was created later in August. Information on the fundraising effort can be found here.

The Carrboro Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Wednesday night in the area of the Town Commons.
The police said in a release on Thursday that investigators estimate the stabbing occurred around 9 p.m. Officers arrived to Town Commons, which is at 301 West Main Street, after a citizen found the victim and called 911.
An adult male victim was transported to UNC Hospitals where police said he later succumbed to his injuries. Carrboro Police said investigators believe the stabbing to be an isolated incident, but an investigation is ongoing.
