The Carrboro Police Department is charging a town resident with a sexual offense. Police responded to a report of an assault on Sunday night at the Food Lion at 602 Jones Ferry Road. According to a release from the department, officers then located 39-year-old Antione Brooks and transported him to Orange County Jail. Brooks is charged with felony second degree forcible sexual offense. His bond is set at $20,000.

Carrboro police say they have reason to believe there may be additional victims in this case. Anyone with information relating to this or any incident involving Brooks is urged to contact the Carrboro Police Department at 919-918-7397 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515.
