A Triangle business expanding to Carrboro is preparing to welcome customers this weekend.

Bru’s Public House, a sports bar located on Wade Park Boulevard in Raleigh, is preparing to open its Carrboro location at 370 E. Main Street #110 on Saturday. The business announced its plans for expansion in November and shared the opening day with patrons on its Instagram story.

“We’re excited to join such a vibrant hospitality neighborhood,” Bru’s owner Denise O’Dwyer said in a statement provided by the business.

The sports bar marks the first business to move into the suite at 370 E. Main Street since another sports bar, Hickory Tavern, closed there in the last year. Bru’s Public House said it has renovated the space to fit its needs over the last few months. Similar to other businesses in the development, visitor parking for the restaurant and bar will be in the town-owned parking deck connected to the building.

Bru’s opened its first location in October 2021 and serves a variety of bar foods — like wings, pizza, sandwiches, and shareable plates. The business said the Carrboro location will have the same menu as its Raleigh taproom and the new space will be set up to where every patron “will have a view of the game from every seat.” Additionally, the Carrboro Bru’s will have a private room for booking that seats up to 50 people with several projector screens and is working on adding outdoor patio seating by this fall.

Once open, Bru’s Public House will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays through Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursdays through Saturdays.
