CrossTies Bistro & Beer Garden in downtown Carrboro is closing.

Ownership made the announcement on the restaurant’s Facebook page Wednesday.

The restaurant, set in the former Carrboro Railway Station, opened as CrossTies Barbecue in 2016. It underwent a rebrand earlier this year, but Drew Moore – the restaurant’s owner-operator – wrote Wednesday that he felt it was time to close the restaurant.

“I have enjoyed our time cooking up great Barbecue and other southern fare, but as my boys get older I want to simplify and prioritize spending time with them.”

Moore also owns and operates The Station, adjacent to CrossTies, Venable Bistro and B-Side Lounge in Carrboro. He wrote that some of the staff from CrossTies will be shifted to the other restaurants.
