Coming off a year in which their team advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals, UNC men’s golf coaches Andrew DiBetto and Matt Clark have released the program’s schedule for the 2021-22 season.

Carolina’s first tournament is also the closest they will be to home during the season: the Rod Myers Invitational on the campus of Duke University. The team will then travel to tournaments in Illinois and Arkansas before participating in and hosting the first-ever Williams Cup tournament, to be played in Wilmington, N.C. The Williams Cup, named in honor of former men’s basketball head coach Roy Williams and his wife Wanda, wraps up the fall schedule for the program.

The 2022 portion of the schedule sees Carolina flying south for the winter to play in the Albany Collegiate Invitational, played from February 14 to February 16 in The Bahamas. They will stay under sunny skies the next week for a tournament in Watersound, FL.

The Tar Heels will compete in a pair of March tournaments in Georgia and Florida before traveling to Phoenix for the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate, to be played April 15 and 16. Arizona State eliminated the Tar Heels from the NCAA Championships in June.

Postseason play begins with the ACC Championship back in Watersound between April 22 and April 25, before NCAA Regionals in May. Should the Tar Heels advance to the NCAA Championships, they would travel to Scottsdale, AZ the week of May 27.
